About the Artist

Hi, thank-you for stopping by! My name is Sonja, I reside on Long Island, N.Y. and enjoy my own home studio there. My business name is Ladybug Lane and that seemed to naturally decide the name of KinderBug Nursery for my Reborn doll website. I have loved ladybugs since, as a little girl, my Grandmother gave me a ladybug pin as a special gift. I think about her whenever I see one. Many years later, with the love and encouragement of my husband, Randy, I took up One Stroke Painting in 1999 and became a Certified Instructor in 2000. Since then I’ve moved on to decorative painting and teach that as well. My most recent passion is creating Reborn dolls…what a rewarding experience that has become. It is such a joy to see these baby dolls come “alive” with the touch of a paint brush and hours of loving, meticulous care.
